RDA Rotors Commodore Cup
As well as celebrating 10 years as a National motor racing category, Commodore Cup is celebrating the signing of Rotors and Drums Australia, as naming rights sponsor.
Season 2004 is also a milestone for the category as competitors unveil their new VR and VS model Commodores, which have become eligible this season in the category’s first body-shell update since its inception in 1994.
“RDA have picked the right time to get involved with Commodore Cup” says series organiser David Gittus. “2004 promises to be an exciting season with the introduction of the new body-shape and an excellent calendar taking in rounds of the Konica Minolta V8 Supercar series, the new Premier Racing Series for Formula 4000, and a grand final at the Symmons Plains V8 Supercar event in Tasmania".
“We also have an exceptional Foxtel TV package being produced by Redmax Entertainment, which will consist of a full 30-minute program for each of the eight rounds – ensuring RDA and all competitors plenty of National exposure”.
The 330hp plus V8 Commodores are stopped from 220kmh lap after lap by RDA's 'off the shelf' 330mm RDA-19 ventilated front rotors, and 290mm RDA-20 ventilated rears.
