The recent merger of RDA Rotors & Drums and EBC brakes has not slowed their association with motor sport but seen it strengthened with confirmation previous EBC brakes support of the Improved Production Racing Association of Victoria (IPRA Vic) will be continued under the new banner RDA Rotors & Drums and EBC Brakes.

EBC Brakes commitment to the IPRA Vic as major sponsor has continued for the past three years. With the merger of RDA Rotors & Drums and EBC Brakes this relationship continues.

TASCCO announces RDA as naming rights sponsor.

It is with great pleasure that The Australian Saloon Car Company (TASCCO) announce the signing of RDA Rotors & EBC Brakes as naming rights sponsor. Considering the widespread involvement that Rotors and Drums Australia have in motorsport, TASCCO is indeed fortunate to have formed an alliance with this proactive, family owned company.

The signing of RDA Rotors & EBC Brakes as category sponsor is a major boost to TASCCO’s aim of being one of the major support categories available to promoters. It is also a very opportune time to be joining the Saloon Car category with the introduction of the second generation Saloon Cars (VT/AU) in January 2006. There are several other projects being planned by TASCCO that will further enhance the popularity and marketability of the Holden v Ford category.

Aussie Racing Cars Back on the Adelaide Streets to Kick Off 2005.

A host of new cars, drivers and sponsors will take to the grid as the 2005 Wright Patton Shakespeare Aussie Racing Cars Series gets underway at the Clipsal 500 in Adelaide.

Fresh from announcing WPS as the category's title sponsor, the championship will again feature seven rounds and proceeding Adelaide will visit Wakefield Park, Eastern Creek, Queensland Raceway, Oran Park, Sandown and Symmons Plains for the first time.

The series will also return to the Lexmark Indy 300 for the non-championship showcase of the Gold Coast Cup.

Rotors and Drums Australia and EBC brake pads has extended its involvement in Aussie Racing Cars this year, incorporating a development program focusing on its performance braking components. The distinctive VY Commodore will be campaigned by Phil Ward as a mobile test bed for the company's extensive range of race-bred products.

The 2005 Wright Patton Shakespeare Aussie Racing Car Series has also reached an expanded television agreement that will include increased coverage on Network Ten throughout the season.

RDA renews Commodore Cup rights deal.

Aftermarket brake products supplier Rotors and Drums Australia (RDA) has renewed its naming rights sponsorship with the Commodore Cup category after a successful start to the arrangement in 2004.

2004 saw the introduction of a body-shell upgrade to VS model Commodores, and 2005 is likely to see the bulk of the field move to the new shape by series end.

At the opening round at Wakefield Park in NSW, ten of the new shape cars will compete  with a further 5 or 6 new cars to be added to that by the time the series returns to Wakefield with the

V8 Supercar Development series for the second round in May.

The new look Commodore Cup cars have greatly enhanced the appeal of the category to both the public and competitors, with series organisers fielding a large number of enquiries from potential competitors since the update was launched in early 2004.

RDA is sole supplier of the brake rotors used on the Commodore Cup cars which, like the majority of the components on the cars, are not specially built race components rather they are high quality, high performance products readily available to purchase over the counter.

Associated business, EBC brakes, also supplies many of the teams with competition brake pads from its wide range of readily available performance compounds.

RDA's product range encompasses over 1,450 vehicle applications and covers everything from Alfa to Volvo and all makes in between. They also stock a large range of applications for vehicles that were not directly released into the Australian and New Zealand market, but have found their way onto our roads by way of private import.

RDA is Australia's largest independent rotor and drum wholesaler, has 10 warehouses Australia wide, and is a family owned company.

Followers of the 2005 series will be able to participate in a season-long competition to win a rotor and brake pad package for their car after each round, and a grand prize of a major rotor, pad and caliper upgrade to be drawn after the final round. Entry forms will be available in souvenir programs at each round, and in other motorsport publications throughout the season.

The 2005 RDA Rotors Commodore Cup will take in the V8 Supercar Development Series rounds at Wakefield Park, Eastern Creek and Mallala, plus four rounds of the new Australian Motor Racing Series, with the undoubted highlight being a return appearance at the hugely successful Symmons Plains V8 Supercar event in November.

RDA puts the brakes on Commodore Cup

As well as celebrating 10 years as a National motor racing category, Commodore Cup is celebrating the signing of after-market brake products supplier, Rotors and Drums Australia, as naming rights sponsor.

Season 2004 is also a milestone for the category as competitors unveil their new VR and VS model Commodores, which have become eligible this season in the category's first body-shell update since its inception in 1994.

"RDA have picked the right time to get involved with Commodore Cup" says series organiser David Gittus. "2004 promises to be an exciting season with the introduction of the new body-shape and an excellent calendar taking in rounds of both the Konica Minolta V8 Supercar series, and the new Premier Racing Series for Formula 4000".

"We also have an exceptional Foxtel TV package being produced by Redmax Entertainment, which will consist of a full 30-minute program for each of the seven rounds - ensuring RDA and all competitors plenty of National exposure".
