CAREER GROWTH

The company has identified two avenues for an employee to advance their career within the organisation.

  1. Within the department you are currently working in, e.g. warehouse, delivery, admin, sales etc. In each department several salary levels exist that reward your efforts to advance your career. Ask your supervisor what opportunities are available for you.
  2. Across departments, e.g. opportunities exist from time to time to say move from a warehouse function to a sales or administrative function etc.

Career advancements are not limited to being within your current location but are potentially available at any of our branch locations.

In order to advance your career you will need to have demonstrated for a meaningful period;

  • A co-operative and can do attitude
  • An ability to handle more than your current job function
  • A commitment to ongoing training that from time to time is offered by or through RDA
  • Expressed an interest in advancement.

REMUNERATION

  • Our remuneration scales reflect your current level of experience and may well be in excess of any prevailing award. All employment incorporates a probation period of six months and some employments include a salary review at the end of the probationary period. Each individual's arrangements in this regard are detailed on their personalised offer letter.
  • Subsequent adjustments to salary will occur;
    1. Upon promotion/career advancement
    2. Annual review (following completion of your probation period) subject to the review being satisfactory
    3. Any prevailing statutory wage increases
  • RDA also operates a company sponsored Bonus program which is shared equally amongst qualifying participants and paid monthly. The principle here is simple - "Every person in the company, regardless of position, has the opportunity to contribute to the overall sales result"

HOURS OF OPERATION

Our hours of opening are 8.30am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday. A 0.9 hour lunch break is available to be taken, so equating, to a 38 hour working week.

ANNUAL LEAVE AND SICK LEAVE

Four weeks annual leave accrues on the anniversary of your employment and each year thereafter.

Annual leave is available on a "first come first served" basis. Your requests for leave should be lodged through your branch manager. If you have a special holiday you are keen to take make sure your request is lodged early to avoid disappointment.

Sick leave is an entitlement to protect our earnings in the event of genuine illness and must not be construed as additional annual leave.

Sick leave does not accrue on employment day 1 but rather after 3 months satisfactory service and is not available for self-inflicted illness.

Entitlements are 8 days per annum, non-cumulative.

A doctor's certificate is required where two consecutive days or more sick leave is taken or where sick leave is taken on a day either side of a weekend or public holiday.

We all need to remember that any day we take off sick places a considerable burden on your colleague's ability to ensure that the business operates correctly.

SUPERANNUATION

In line with Industry awards, we currently pay 9% of your gross wage into either AMP or another superannuation fund of your choice.

DRESS STANDARDS

The company provides from time to time promotional clothing to staff. It is the intention that this clothing should be worn in the work environment at every opportunity and maintained in presentable condition.
