Rotors and Drums Australia - who are we?

Rotors & Drums commenced operations in Melbourne Victoria in 1987 and has grown from a small trade and retail parts supplier to today offering the largest range of Disc Brake Rotors and Brake Drums in Australia and New Zealand.

Our range encompasses some 1530 vehicle applications and covers everything from Alfa to Volvo and all makes in between.

We also stock a large range of applications that were not directly released into the Australian and New Zealand market, but have found their way onto our roads by way of private import.

Rotors & Drums is Australia’s largest Independent Rotor and Drum wholesaler and is a family owned company.  Current RDA data:

• Twelve warehouses Australia wide.

• 8,000 square metres (88,000 square feet) of storage and machining area.

• Delivery fleet of 65 vehicles.

Our products are sourced from the world’s best manufacturers to give us our large and comprehensive range.

We source from many regions throughout the world, as rotor and drum manufacturing is a relatively new development within Australia, whereas some of our suppliers have been manufacturing for over forty to fifty years.

Our target market is the Brake specialists and hard parts reseller and we work closely with our customers to ensure that we are competitive and relevant, so as to enable them to take on the major general parts sellers. We do not supply any major chains or multi-national groups, who tend to sell product but with little or no knowledge or training.

Whenever a vehicle is released, we are working on having that product available in our stores as soon as possible, as the calls for replacement parts are coming quicker and sooner with every release. As our markets become more import driven by the manufacturers, it is worth remembering, that whilst the vehicle may be new to Australia and New Zealand, it has been on the road elsewhere in the world already.

By actively sourcing on the world stage, we are able to keep abreast of parts identification and stocking parts in the early stages of a vehicle’s life can deliver significant opportunities.

Just as the latest and greatest releases are covered, our older vehicle applications are by no means ignored and our stocks of vehicle applications going back to the 1950’s and 60’s are very important to us.  

Our range of RDA economy brake pads and shoes is also amongst the largest available in Australia.

When added to our Australian distributorship for EBC Brakes from the UK and European Friction Industries (EFI), we offer a complete range of brake components from standard vehicle applications, through to performance upgrades, as well as commercial and heavy equipment applications.
